Google User Data and Google Calendar Integration

If you sign in with Google, or connect Google Calendar to EasyLife, we access a limited set of data from your Google Account. Connecting Google Calendar is entirely optional: EasyLife works without it, and you can revoke access at any time.

Scopes we request and why

  • openid, email, profile: to create your EasyLife account and sign you in. We receive your name, surname, email address and profile picture.
  • Google Calendar API (calendar.readonly): read-only access to the list of your calendars and to the events in the date range you are viewing. We request no permission to create, modify or delete anything in your Google Calendar.

How Google Calendar data is used and stored

  • Your events are displayed on the EasyLife calendar page and, for the calendars you choose, next to the days of your weekly meal plan.
  • Event content is never stored on our servers: events are requested from Google each time you open the page and are discarded once the page has been rendered.
  • We permanently store only the identifier, name and colour of the calendars you decide to import, together with your display preferences.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and are used solely to call the Google Calendar API on your behalf.
  • Google Calendar data is visible only to you, is never shared with other users or third parties, is never used for advertising and is never used to train artificial intelligence models.

Revoking access

You can revoke EasyLife's access at any time from the Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Deleting your EasyLife account also deletes the stored tokens and all imported calendar settings.

Limited Use disclosure

EasyLife's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
